I completed the course knowing I have the necessary tools to help me succeed. I am so excited and can't wait to put everything I've learned to good use. Of course, due to how equipped and ready I believe I am today to start this exciting new career, my goal is to dazzle them on the set!
Most good instructors teach us how to do things the right way. Randi teaches us not only that, but also shows us the wrong way(s) that we definitely must avoid in order to shine in our field. She also makes sure she tells us what pitfalls to be aware of. This makes her an excellent instructor (and mentor).
Her classes are jam-packed with so much information in such a short amount of time that they are definitely worth every penny. Randi's coaching (and caring) also does not cease once the classes are completed. She actually expects (and demands) us to meet with her after our first few jobs to show her our notes, answer questions that may have surfaced, etc. During one of our breaks, my class actually witnessed her answering a call from one of her alumnae who was on the set who needed her help. We are also encouraged to sit in for refresher courses (on courses we've already attended [and paid for] in the past). This is completely unheard of!
And in my workshop, three out of the five of us have already been working in the entertainment industry (in a different capacity). The fact that people from this industry go to her for Script Supervising classes (and more) also says a whole lot about her (caliber and character). After all, they are the ones who would know who's great and who's not! They'd know the buzz!
